First Adventure of 2018 | Robin Hood’s Bay

If you love small towns, cosy streets and fairy tales, this is the perfect place for you to visit! This was the first time I visited this gorgeous town and I am definitely coming back! I didn’t even know this place existed until I stumbled on some photos on Instagram and fell in love. So the Robin Hood’s Bay is located in the East Yorkshire on the coastline a bit South of Scarborough. The town itself is tiny so a day trip will definitely be more than enough to explore the whole place. The streets are very narrow which gives it a lovely cosy feel! I would love to live in a place like this! There is a main road which zigzags down to the bay itself and it is full of quirky shops and cafes! There is one shop which won my personal affections prize thou. The shop sells giant knit stuff, like giant blankets etc. One day when I will get my own house I will definitely buy one of those blankets! They are super cosy! So definitely check it out if you are “snuggled up by the fire in a blanket” type of person. Here’s how it looks btw!

So we made our way down to the water and I was photographing pretty much everything I see. It was a bit chilly, but that’s what you would expect in the middle of winter anyway. Lots of people come up with their dogs, which makes the whole experience infinitely cuter! If you do go down, make sure to take your camera with you! By far one of the most picturesque places in England I have been to! Bear in mind that the town is also quite hard to reach and there is only one road up / down. So maybe don’t go on an icy day…

People we met were all very nice and friendly, which made the trip very pleasant! You know, sometimes you go somewhere nice and locals look at you as if you just killed and ate a puppy… Kind of poops in your ice cream a bit.

The Robin Hood’s Bay is located on quite a steep heel, so by the end of the walk I was exhausted… Because I am not very athletic. I am not athletic at all… I am aiming to go to the gym this year thou! Anyways, so I was exhausted o we went for some food in Whitby (a 10-minute drive if that). There a delicious fish restaurant called “Fisherman’s wife” which I very strongly advise you to visit! I have been there a couple of times now and every time I left very full and very satisfied! They always have fresh fish! Definitely strongly recommend this place. Just what you need after a long walk. If you like fish of course.

So that was our first adventure of 2018! There will be many more this year, so keep updated!
